CONFIRMED:GES Recruitment Portal To Be Opened For Graduate Teacher(s)

As recruitment is ongoing for the 2019 College of Education graduates, many Graduates from the various Educational Universities have been left with many questions as to when it’ll be their turn.

The Ghana Education Recruitment Portal was initially opened for the recruitment of 2017 & 2018 College of Education year group. Although appointment has not been given out yet for that year group, application has been opened to recruit 2019 College of Education batch of students.

Speaking to Daily Graphic on 21st September 2020, the Director General of GES; Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa gave assurance that University Graduate Teachers will be given the opportunity to apply for recruitment right after the portal is closed for those of College of Education; 2019 year group.

He said “the next batch will be for those from the universities and so they do not have to be worried”.

Prof. Opoku-Amankwa reiterated that recruitment for Graduate Teachers from Universities will be for only those who have written and passed the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) as well as the mandatory National Service as required by Ghana.

Graduate Teachers who will be recruited as teachers for the Ghana Education Service (GES) will be posted to the various Senior High School (SHS) across the country.

He further added confidently that the recruitment will definitely be done before the year ends.

The service currently has its portal opened for recruitment for 2019 College of Education year group.
